Pressing Onward While Sick

We all have to do it from time to time. We don't always want to. However, circumstances dictate the need for it -- working while sick. This is one thing I do miss about working a nine-to-five, sick days.

Research Tips for Beauty Bloggers

I love beauty products. As a fashion and beauty blogger I review quite a few beauty products. Over the years. I've become familiar with common ingredients in products and know their roles. Lazy Fridays

Lazy Day

I typically take Saturday and Sunday off when it comes to writing. Sometimes I will still work on those days but it is a rarity. However, there are times when I need a mini vacation from research, writing, promotion and tracking page views. So I will take a Lazy Friday.

Lazy Fridays help me to recharge and not become mentally burnt out. So when you feel like if you research one more thing your laptop is going to go flying across the room, take a Lazy Friday or a Lazy Day period. It will do you a world of good.

A lot of those good experiences were from the men and women who served as UD Police when I attended the University of Delaware in the late 90s.

Monica Lewinsky On Public Humiliation

Decades ago, when a person made a mistake it was pretty much talked about within their community or social circle. If their mistake was newsworthy, it might hit the newspaper, radio newscasts, or the evening television news. Today these mistakes -- whether major or minor -- are now potentially open to everyone. All it takes is a screenshot, photo upload, or video upload to Twitter, Reddit, or Facebook. Monica Lewinsky gives an eloquent and straight-forward speech about public humiliation in this day and age. Her goal is for people to show more compassion and throw less stones.
